If anything was a sight for sore eyes today it was seeing the children and staff wearing a cascade of colour. I hope that seeing this rainbow explosion dared you to dream that easier times are on the horizon… because I believe that they really are.
I can hardly believe we only have one more week of this half term. If ever there was a time to see the reality of focusing and raising awareness of the importance of positive mental health in children, it is the world we are living in now. I know I have said many times before, but seeing the messages the children have written to each other on the labels for the fence and the way the children have felt the confidence to ‘express themselves’ both in their clothing choices today but also on their pebble faces has been an absolute joy- one of the many privileges that come from working in a school.
Next week we have a special surprise planned for all the children to mark the end of an exceptional half term and to acknowledge how well both you and they have persisted with learning whilst at home but also the strange way we are working in school… but also as a thank you to you all for the unwavering support you have shown us during this time.
Keep dreaming everyone and see you all on Monday.
