Greenfields is a fully inclusive school, we are an Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM)- Flagship School for Inclusion. The most recent assessment of our IQM Flagship status commented:

“Greenfields Community Primary School inclusion values permeate everything they do. Parents also feel valued for their contribution to the life of the school and in turn appreciate the dedication of all the staff in the education of their children. Parents of children with SEND are continually complimentary about the school, especially about the commitment of the Inclusion Team. Early identification is a strength of the school as parents are on records as having been approached about concerns about their child before they had noticed anything amiss themselves… inclusion at Greenfields isn’t just something that the school does, it is something that they breathe. An educationally inclusive school is one in which the teaching and learning, achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matter.”

We aim to ensure that all pupils achieve their potential – personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally.

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all, providing education that ensures that all children, regardless of any special educational need or disability, receive an education that is broad, balanced and relevant to their needs.

We welcome enquiries from all parents and carers of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and encourage you to visit our school to see the children at work and to discuss your child’s needs with our staff. Our special educational needs co-ordinator (SENDCo) is Mrs Amy Banks, who is also the Deputy Headteacher and is usually around every morning and after school if you’d like a quick word. If you’d like to discuss something in detail or in private, you can make an appointment with Mrs Banks through the school office .

Our SEND Policy and SEN Information Report detail how we support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities at Greenfields, including the Local Offer.
